Enhancing The ICC Experience For Students

Dear Union Members,

Through our various feedback channels, NTUSU received valuable insights from students expressing their dissatisfaction with the ICC Modules. The concerns voiced by students encompassed various issues, including excessive workloads, ineffective assessment methods, and the perceived low quality of teaching. These challenges have caused anxiety and unhappiness, especially for students from the first batch of ICC.

Actions Taken

To gain a comprehensive understanding of the issues faced by students and gather module-specific feedback, NTUSU conducted an extensive ICC survey. The survey was designed to collect data on students' experiences and challenges with the ICC modules. Subsequently, we meticulously analysed the gathered data, identifying trends and patterns.

Based on the insights gleaned from the survey, NTUSU developed a comprehensive set of recommendations aimed at enhancing the ICC experience both holistically and at the module level.

After a comprehensive review conducted by the ICC office, several improvements were made to the ICC modules. Some changes include revisions made to course handouts for better understandability, optimisations of workloads to reduce student stress levels, improvements to assessment formats and phrasings, and enhancements to certain classroom activities for better engagement and digestibility.
