Completion Of Tan Chin Tuan Lecture Theatre Covered Linkway And Drop-off Area

Dear Union Members,

Over the past few years, NTUSU has received substantial feedback from students about the challenges faced when moving from the North Spine to TCT LT, particularly during inclement weather. Additionally, the lack of designated drop-off and pick-up points caused congestion and confusion, adversely affecting campus traffic flow.

Actions Taken

In response to these pressing concerns, NTUSU proactively advocated for the construction of covered walkways and designated drop-off points. Through productive meetings and engagements with the Office of Development & Facilities Management, we presented a strong case for these essential enhancements.

As of 7th July, the new covered linkway and designated drop-off point have been successfully completed. With the installation of covered walkways, students can now move between the North Spine and TCT LT comfortably and safely, irrespective of weather conditions. The improved flooring ensures better traction, minimizing the risk of slips and falls during rainy days.
