Yo, You Game Right?
You know that feeling when you’ve been gaming for 7 hours, your screen’s basically burnt into your retinas, and then you hear your friends say “ just one more game, we cannot end on a loss guys”. Yeah we’ve all been there. If you’ve ever forgotten to do something because you were too busy grinding League or fragging in Valorant. NTUES is your home away from home.
A Place for Every Gamer
Listen, we don’t care if you just picked up your first mouse and keyboard or if you’ve spent more time in LoL than studying for your actual degree. If you play games and you don’t immediately rage quit, we want you. We host events for games like League of Legends, Valorant, MLBB, Tekken you name it. Got zero clue what you're doing? Cool. You’ll fit right in. Here, we’re all about the grind, the memes, and the bad decisions we make at 3 AM.
Competitive? Oh, We’re Competitive.
If you’re looking to take your gaming to the next level, the NTU Esports Society also organises small tournaments throughout the year for all players to join. Whether you’re just in it for the fun or have serious ambitions of going pro, these tournaments are a great way to challenge yourself and improve your skills.
But the opportunities don’t end there. If you want to represent NTU in intervarsity esports competitions, we have varsity teams for LoL, Valorant, and MLBB. Every year, we hold tryouts for each team, so if you’ve got the skills and the drive, this could be your chance to compete at a higher level. Keep an eye on our social media channels for updates on tryout dates and other relevant information.
Join the Fun and Help Create It
Forget “fun and friendly competition.” NTU Esports is where the chaos lives. You’ll find yourself bonding over wild game nights, where you don’t know if you’re about to carry the team to victory or get mercilessly stomped into the dirt. Either way, it’s funny, and we’re all just here for a good time. We’ll cheer when you pop off, and we’ll definitely scream when you miss your shot. But in the end, you’ll have a bunch of new friends.
Want in on the behind-the-scenes action? Join the subcommittee or main committee and help us plan these events. It’s a mix of event planning and uncontrollable laughter that occurs during our weekly meeting, and tbh, it’s the kind of work that’s actually fun. We’re a team that works together, and somehow still survives to play another day.
What’s the Vibe?
We are not here for any boring “let’s all be polite gamers” nonsense. NTU Esports is full of chaos, with a side of “did that just happen?” You’ll rage, you’ll laugh, and you’ll lose track of time. And then you’ll do it all over again. It’s the kind of vibe where you and your squad will either be carrying the game or arguing over who fed harder. Either way, we’ll all end up laughing at ourselves.
However, don’t bring that toxic energy to your teammates. You can scream at your screen all you want (we do it too), but leave the personal attacks for the in-game chat and don’t ruin the vibe. We’re here for fun, not for making people want to quit. If you can’t take the chaos and laughter, then maybe this isn’t your scene. But if you’re down to get destroyed and then laugh about it at 4 AM? Welcome to the team..
