CCAs of NTU 25’: Rotaract Club of NTU

Written by: Nathaniel Lo Tzin Ye, President

Introduction: Making Impact Together

More than just a volunteering club, the Rotaract Club of NTU is where passion meets purpose. We’re a service-based community with heart, driven by students who believe in creating real change — on campus, in Singapore, and beyond. Through meaningful volunteering projects and vibrant friendships, we grow together as leaders, friends, and changemakers. If you’re ready to be part of something impactful, this is the place to start.

What We Do

The Rotaract Club of NTU is made up of nine divisions, grouped into two main areas: Service Divisions and Support Divisions. Here's a quick look at what they do:

Service Divisions

These divisions lead the way in organising and executing meaningful volunteering initiatives beyond the NTU campus. They are committed to serving various communities and driving social impact through hands-on service.

  • Community Service

  • International Service

  • Youth Development

  • Special Projects

Support Divisions

These divisions provide essential backbone support to the club's operations while focusing on professional development, member engagement, and overall club sustainability.

  • Business and Finance

  • Club Service

  • Professional Development

  • Publicity and Publications

  • World Rotaract Week

Understanding Each Division

Service Divisions

  1. Community Service

    • About Us: The Community Service Division is committed to supporting our local community, especially the elderly and janitors around campus. We aim to empower change through service while helping members grow in leadership, teamwork, and empathy. Along the way, members also form lasting friendships with those who share a passion for creating positive change.

    • Past Highlights: RACNTU x IIC EnrichElderly: Financial Literacy for Elderly

An outreach initiative that equips seniors with essential life skills to promote lifelong learning and independence. It also fosters intergenerational bonding through interactive and engaging experiences.

  2. International Service

    • About Us: The International Service Division focuses on uplifting migrant workers and underprivileged communities globally. Through volunteering efforts and our signature Overseas Community Engagement Project (OCEP), we promote sustainability, skill development, and cross-cultural exchange. Join us as we work together toward lasting global impact.

    • Past Highlights: RCY x RAC MiGreat iAppreciate

This initiative supports migrant workers through practical workshops like Financial Literacy and Disaster Assisted first REsponder(DARE), equipping them with critical life skills. It also serves to show appreciation for their contributions to society while promoting awareness and empowerment.

  3. Youth Development

    • About Us: Youth Development empowers Rotaractors to support children and youth in our community — academically, emotionally, and beyond. We believe in shaping the next generation to positively impact society while also growing alongside them. As we help them overcome challenges and bring joy into their lives, we build empathy, purpose, and strength within ourselves as well.

    • Past Highlights: RACNTU  x EarthLink x TGH+ NTU Nature Guiding

This nature trail event at Jurong Lake Gardens introduces children to the natural world through fun, hands-on learning. It aims to nurture environmental appreciation and meaningful engagement between youth participants and student volunteers.

  4. Special Projects

    • About Us: Special Projects focuses on empowering Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PWIDs), who often face daily challenges and discrimination. We aim to enrich their lives through new experiences and essential life skills while also supporting their caregivers. Join us in this journey of compassion, inclusion, and lifelong support.

    • Past Highlights: RAC x NAE Pottery Painting Workshop

This workshop provides intellectually disabled beneficiaries a creative outlet through art while giving volunteers meaningful interaction opportunities. It offers beneficiaries a refreshing change from routine and encourages self-expression through hands-on activities.

  2. Club Service

Appreciation Night celebrated the dedication of our members through certificates, heartfelt messages, and a meaningful video tribute. The event strengthened club spirit and reinforced a strong sense of belonging among members.

  3. Professional Development

    • Past Highlights: RAC x BAC Coding Workshop

Children were introduced to coding through Scratch by building simple interactive games in a fun, visual format. The workshop nurtured creativity, logical thinking, and problem-solving in an engaging and supportive environment.

  4. Publicity and Publications

    • About Us: Publicity and Publications is the creative hub of RACNTU, telling our story through engaging content, visuals, and social media. We amplify the club’s mission and projects to a wider audience, inspiring involvement and strengthening our presence within and beyond NTU.

    • Past Highlights: Canva Workshop

We plan events that unite members worldwide and raise awareness about Rotaract’s role in community service and leadership. It’s a week of inspiration, connection, and meaningful celebration.
