CCAs of NTU 25’: NTU Tabernacle Fellowship
Written by: Chin Shu Yee
Looking for a safe space to explore the Christian faith, build meaningful relationships, and grow in community during your university years? Welcome to NTU Tabernacle Fellowship – where faith meets friendship and community thrives!
Our Purpose: Growing Together in Faith and Community
NTU Tabernacle Fellowship was founded to create a supportive Christian community within NTU where students can explore their faith, ask big questions, and grow together in their walk with God. Our vision is to be a community who will love God, the Body of Christ and the community. We believe that every student is fearfully and wonderfully made in God's image to share a close relationship with Him and to love the people around them on earth.
University is not just about academic achievement, but also about the people and community you find refuge and grow in. Our fellowship provides a safe space for students from all walks of life – whether you're a lifelong believer, someone curious about Christianity, or anywhere in between. Everyone is welcome as they are.
What We Do: Worship, Learn, Serve
Before delving into our activities, our weekly gatherings always start off with dinner together.
Amidst our hectic student lives, the act of eating with one another before diving straight into our sessions reminds us of the importance of slowing down and being present with one another first. This is a time where we grow closer to one another in this community - some of the best conversations happen around food!
A time for singing worship songs follows. We also do Bible studies when we gather, where we discover how God's eternal truths address the challenges of student life. These sessions encourage deep reflection on God's character and His promises. We get to hear from one another as we delve into the discussions too! We also organize talks and events that discuss how faith intersects with academic disciplines, and celebrate God's faithfulness in our lives.
Beyond our regular meetings, we also organise fellowship events for people from different universities and life stages to come together. Last summer, we got the opportunity to volunteer together at Willing Hearts. We also have regular netball sessions for the sporty ones to come by!
Our Community: Doing Life Together
What makes NTU Tabernacle Fellowship special is our genuine care for one another. Our members come from diverse academic backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences, but we're united by our shared faith and desire to grow together.
