Applying for financial aid can feel like navigating a maze — multiple forms, repetitive data entry, and unclear instructions. For many students, the process itself became a barrier to getting the support they needed.
NTUSU and student representatives worked closely with student representatives and NTU Shared Services (NSS), to review and evaluate a brand-new Financial Aid Portal and a Financial Expenses Calculator, designed to make your application process smoother, faster and stress-free.
Here’s how the new portal offers a more seamless application process, with user-friendly features like:
One-stop platform – Supporting documents can be uploaded directly into the Portal, along with your application.
Auto-filled personal info – After logging into the Portal, some of the fields will be auto-filled with your personal information that was submitted during your admission to NTU.
Key information upfront – The Portal will display information such as the calculation of monthly household per capita income (PCI) and gross household income (GHI), as well as guarantor requirements for loan applicants.
Personalised prompts – You will be prompted for the required documents based on your selected marital/employment status.
Easy correction – Missed out a document or submitted something wrongly? Login to the Portal to update your application.
Track your application – View the status of your financial aid application in real time.
