Exploring the Wonders of Space
NTU Astronomical Society aims to be a vibrant community where NTU students come together to explore the wonders of space. We’re here to make astronomy fun, accessible, and exciting, whether it’s your first time looking through a telescope or you already know the constellations by heart.
What We Do
We regularly hold astronomy events to share and discuss the wonders of planets, stars and many other deep sky objects. These events are followed by stargazing sessions where our members can observe different sky objects and unleash their astrophotography skills. Join us for insightful astronomy talks and the chance to spot different objects in the beautiful night sky.
We also collaborate with other communities in NTU to further inform people about facts and issues related to astronomy that are currently happening around the world. Last year, we had an Earth Hour Collaboration with EarthLink, where we shared information on light pollution, its causes and how to reduce it. We concluded the event with a stargazing session, where people could also try using our telescopes and observing astronomical objects.
Our Annual Trip: Stella Vista
Our Stella Vista trips offer nights full of stargazing and telescope observing sessions, right under the clear night sky. From Bintan to Langkawi and Tioman, and more places in the future, Stella Vista is surely not to be missed. Join us in Stella Vista for an unforgettable stargazing experience and the chance to also explore local culture and natural attractions.
