CCAs of NTU 25’: WSC RSP: Mental Health
Written by: Tang Yao, RSPMH Representative
Whether you're looking to give back, advocate for mental wellness, or simply connect with like-minded peers — RSPMH is the place for you!
Our Missions
By fostering meaningful interactions between students and service users, we strive to foster active participation, skill development, and personal growth among the service users. Through the events we host, we aim to raise awareness about mental wellbeing, encouraging all the NTU students to take good care of their mental health and support the wellness of their loved ones.
Our Efforts
Regular ward sessions: Every Saturday afternoon, our volunteers would bring games and activities for the service users to keep them active and connected. Some activities we bring include paper crafts, board games, trivia questions and charades.
Examples of ward activities
Preparation sessions: Before every ward session, we prepare the materials needed for the activities, especially those involving cutting or assembly, as sharp objects are not allowed in the wards! These behind-the-scenes efforts ensure that everything runs smoothly and safely during our visits.

Festive celebrations: During festivals such as Christmas and Chinese New Year, we will collaborate with other organisations serving at IMH to prepare large-scale celebrations for service users.

Events: We frequently partner with organisations such as the University Wellbeing Office, IMH Occupational Therapist Department and Graduate’s Student Association to facilitate events such as the October Wellfest, Social Impact Week, Here4U, and Mind Matters. We bring fun and engaging workshops and booth activities for our NTU students, advocating for mental wellbeing and reminding students that support is always within reach!

Our Community
Our members come from diverse academic backgrounds, spanning from psychology to engineering. However, we are united by a shared passion: the desire to serve and uplift the mental health community. Beyond service, we also seek to build connections across disciplines, learning from one another and growing together as a group.
We ensure every member of RSPMH is included and appreciated. To celebrate our journey together, we have bonding days and appreciation sessions at the end of the semester. These provide us a chance to come together, reflect, and have fun as a community!

Please note that, there will be a minimum requirement for attendance for all our members, as consistency is key to maintain trust and stability for our service users. There are no prior backgrounds required! We welcome students from all disciplines to join, as long as you are passionate and willing to commit!
Still unsure? Visit our booth during the Welcome Week to find out more! We would be thrilled to see you there!
Step Up, Speak Out, and Serve with Us!
If there’s one message we hope you take away, it’s this: You can be part of the change — wherever you are.
Care for your own mental wellbeing. Be kind, patient, and gentle with yourself. Speak up for those who may be struggling, even outside of RSPMH. Together, we can build a society where mental health is valued, and everyone has the freedom to live a full and meaningful life!
Hope to see you at RSPMH!
